Height and a Child's Popularity
A new survey has found that a child's height has no bearing on his or her popularity. Many people believe being short is an emotional burden for children.
But, a study in the journal Pediatrics says not so. Researchers found that being very short -- or very tall -- plays no role in the number of friendships a child has or in how well adjusted a child is. The study may add to the recent controversy over giving growth hormones to short children to make them taller.
